Racehorse Adoption Program Receives Keeneland Grant

Edited press release
The Keeneland Foundation in Lexington has made a $2,500 grant to New Vocations Racehorse Adoption Program to help fund the transitional training aspect of its program.

The charity has locations near Dayton and Columbus, Ohio and in Saline, Mich.

"New Vocations perennially leads the nation in racehorse adoptions," said executive director Dot Morgan. "Last year, we placed 275 retired Thoroughbreds and Standardbreds into carefully screened and monitored homes in 28 states. The grant from Keeneland will help us better evaluate the horses for soundness and suitability in order to place them more effectively."
