Bred in Argentina by Firmamento, Mr. Light was group II stakes-placed in Argentina. He retired with six wins and five placings from 16 starts and earnings of $247,059. Mr. Light, a world-record-setting miler at Gulfstream Park this year, has been purchased by Mill Ridge Farm from Earle I. Mack for stallion duty. A 6-year-old son of Numerous, Mr. Light has been retired from racing and will enter stud at Mill Ridge near Lexington. The farm is owned by Alice Chandler and her husband, Dr. John Chandler.Mr. Light set a world-record mark of 1:31.41 for a mile on turf in winning an allowance race at Gulfstream Park. After that came mile wins in the Poker Handicap (gr. IIIT) in 1:32.18 at Belmont Park and the Appleton Handicap (gr. IIIT) in 1:32.98 at Gulfstream, plus a fourth-place finish in the Maker's Mark Mile Stakes (gr.
