-- Stronach Stables' 2-year-old Light The Fuse filly underwent surgery on her right hind leg this morning at Rood and Riddle Clinic in Lexington, Ky. The undefeated filly suffered the injury during a morning gallop Tuesday at Churchill Downs.
"Dr (Larry) Bramlage performed the surgery and the prognosis is excellent," said trainer Joe Orseno. "It's just a shame she has to miss the race on Saturday."Fusaichi Pegasus (Classic)
-- The Kentucky Derby winner, established as the 8-5 favorite in the Breeders' Cup Classic after drawing post nine Wednesday, continues to come up to the race in good order for trainer Neil Drysdale.
"He galloped a mile and trotted a mile this morning," said Drysdale of the colt, being prepared for his racing finale before going to stud. Regular exercise rider Andy Durnin was up. Fusaichi Pegasus will gallop up to the Saturday race, according to Drysdale, before entering the stallion ranks at Ashford Stud next year.Lemon Drop Kid (Classic)
-- The 4-year-old colt gave his trainer and owners some anxious moments when out for a workout. Going at a high rate of speed, Lemon Drop Kid approached two horses working on the rail. But he was swung wide by his exercise rider, George Martens, and Lemon Drop Kid passed both on his way for a final clocking of 35 4/5 for 3 fur.Aly's Alley (Turf)
--Worked a half-mile on the turf course in 50 2/5. He drew post eight and was listed at 50-1 on the morning line for the Turf.

-- Frankie Dettori went 6 furlongs on the main track aboard Clive Brittain-trained Crimplene at about seven Wednesday morning as she prepares for Saturday's Breeders' Cup Distaff. The clockers caught the sophomore filly in 1:13 handily.
"They only really cantered the first half of it -- Frankie said they were just going steady -- so she finished exceptionally fast," said a beaming Brittain. "I'm really delighted with her."Fantastic Light (Turf), Muhtathir (Mile)
-- Frankie Dettori worked Godolphin's Breeders' Cup Turf runner Fantastic Light 5 furlongs on the main track in 59 3/5, handily, Wednesday morning. The only other Godolphin runner to work, Mile runner Muhtathir, went 5 furlongs in 1:04 4/5 breezing for Anthony Proctor.
"I'm pleased with them and they're ready," said Godolphin trainer Saeed bin Suroor.
