Belmont Child Care Association Raises $250,000 for Anna House

Edited release

The Belmont Child Care Association (BCCA) raised $250,000 for childcare center Anna House at its annual dinner/auction fundraiser at The Gideon Putnam Hotel in Saratoga Springs. N.Y.

The evening's silent and live auction, with Hall of Fame trainer D. Wayne Lukas the auctioneer, drew a sell-out crowd of almost 300. The New York Thoroughbred Horsemen's Association president Richard Bomze and his wife, Diane, both board members of The BCCA, were the honorees along with NYTHA.

The highlight of the evening was a "Texas Raffle" for a John Deere Gator, donated by NYTHA to the auction, won by trainer Todd Pletcher.

The Belmont Child Care Association is a not-for-profit-corporation established in December 1998 to create an on-site child care center, Anna House, at Belmont Park for the working families of New York racing.
