Avenue of Flags to A & A Ranch in New Mexico

Avenue of Flags, who ranks among New Mexico's leading sires this year, has been relocated to Fred and Linda Alexander's A & A Ranch near Anthony, N.M. The 17-year-old son of Seattle Slew has sired 21 stakes winners.

Avenue of Flags' six graded stakes winners include grade I winners Joey Franco and Notable Career and multiple grade II winners Fleet Lady and Belle's Flag. Joey Franco scored his big win in the 2003 Triple Bend Breeders' Cup Invitational Handicap (gr. I) at Hollywood Park and was that year's California's Horse of the Year. Notable Career captured the Oak Leaf Stakes (gr. I).

A grade II stakes-placed runner, Avenue of Flags is out of the graded stakes-winning Pass the Glass mare Beautiful Glass. His career progeny earnings are nearly $13 million.

Avenue of Flags, who formerly stood at Double LL Farm near Bosque, N.M., will stand in 2006 for $5,000, same as last breeding season.
