HRTV Airs First Two Days of Keeneland Sale

HorseRacing TV will present live and uninterrupted coverage of the first two full days of the Keeneland November Breeding Stock Sale, the world's most prestigious sale of mares, foals and racing prospects.

Coverage begins at 10 a.m. ET on Nov. 7 and 8. HRTV's normal schedule of live Thoroughbred and Standardbred racing will continue at the conclusion of the sale each day.

Ashado, Megahertz and Island Fashion are among the top fillies and mares scheduled to pass thorugh the sales ring.

"This sale goes to the heart of HRTV's mission statement to bring all aspects of the horse racing industry to a wider audience," said Amy J. Zimmerman, executive producer of HRTV.

The two-day sale catalog book also includes the exceptional race mares Manistique and Gourmet Girl, as well as the dams of Borrego, Peace Rules, Distorted Humor and Hollywood Story, and mares carrying the first crop of Smarty Jones and perennial leading sire Storm Cat.

The 12-day sale begins at the Lexington, KY sales pavilion on Nov. 7 and continues through Nov. 18. The 2005 Keeneland November Breeding Stock Sale has cataloged 4,477 horses (including three stallion shares). Last year, the top price paid was $4.8 million for Santa Catarina (in foal to A.P. Indy) by Denali Stud.
