Grade I winner Mass Media will retire for the 2006 breeding season to Hill 'n' Dale Farm near Lexington, Ky. where he will stand for a fee of $7,500 live foal as the property of Gary and Mary West, in whose colors he was campaigned.A 4-year-old son of Touch Gold, Mass Media won six of 16 starts and earned $396,420. His victories included the Forego Stakes (gr. I) this year at Saratoga and the 2004 Sport Page Handicap (gr. III) and Fly So Free. He also finished second in the San Fernando (gr. II) and third in the True North Breeders' Cup Handicap (gr. II)."At $7,500 live foal, this horse offers breeders a lot of quality at a very fair price," said John G. Sikura, president of Hill 'n' Dale Farms.
"We have enjoyed considerable success with Buddha at Hill 'n' Dale and therefore decided to stand Mass Media there as well," said Gary West.
