Greathouse Wins Season to Songandaprayer

David Greathouse won a 2006 guaranteed live foal season to Songandaprayer in a raffle to benefit Habitat for Humanity and the victims of Hurricane Katrina. A representative of Habitat of Humanity drew the winning ticket inside the Keeneland sales ring Nov. 11.

A total of 78 tickets were sold for $500 each to raise $39,000.

All proceeds from the sale of the raffle tickets benefited Lexington Habitat for Humanity and Operation Home Delivery.

The season was donated by Bobby and Leslie Hurley, who raced the son of Unbridled's Song, and stand him as part of a syndicate at Walmac Farm near Lexington. His 2006 fee is $35,000.

According to Equineline, through Nov. 11, Songandaprayer's progency have earned $901,366.
