British Breeders' Group Honors Maktoums

A week after the death of Sheikh Maktoum al Maktoum, the late ruler of Dubai and his brothers were awarded the prestigious Duke Of Devonshire bronze at the British Thoroughbred Breeders' Association's annual awards dinner in recognition of their contributions to Britain's bloodstock industry.

Michael Goodbody, who manages the global Gainsborough breeding operation which belonged to Sheikh Maktoum, collected the award.

John England, the longstanding stud groom at the late Sir Stephen Hastingsā€š Milton Park Stud, collected the Dominion Bronze, the TBA's other award announced at the dinner,.

Patricia Thompson, who with her husband David owns Cheveley Park Stud in Newmarket, England, was guest of honor and presented the awards at the dinner in London.
