Paraneck Stables is offering a $50,000 bonus to the breeder of the first stakes winner from the respective 2007 foal crops of Song of the Sword and Lord Ofthe Thunder, both of whom will stand the 2006 season at Fox Tale Stud near Coopersburg. Pa.In order to qualify for the bonus, the stakes must have a purse of $50,000 or more, and the foal must be a registered Pennsylvania-bred. If the foal is bred in a state other than Pennsylvania, the bonus will be $16,666."In my mind, Song of the Sword and Lord Ofthe Thunder have race records and pedigrees on par with any stallion in the mid-Atlantic," said Paraneck manager Ernie Paragallo.
