First Mare in Foal to Afleet Alex

Gainesway Farm announced that Champagne Royale, bred on the opening day of the 2006 breeding season, is the first mare to be examined in foal to champion Afleet Alex. Champagne Royale, a 5-year-old stakes-placed daughter of French Deputy, is owned by Rob Whiteley's Liberation Farm. The mare boards at Jim and Pam Robinson's Brandywine Farm in Paris, Kentucky.

Retiro Park, sister to champion Meadow Star, has also been tested in foal to the dual classic winner. Retiro Park, owned by Paragon Farms, LLC, is the dam of grade III stakes winner Snorter.

Baby Lets Cruise, a winning daughter of Tale of the Cat  and a half-sister to Jade Hunter, is the third mare testing in foal to Afleet Alex. She is owned by Michael Ryan of Australia and boards at Sparks View Farm, in Lexington KY.

Champion 3-year-old male of 2005 and a dual classic winner, Afleet Alex (Northern Afleet --Maggy Hawk, by Hawkster) stands for $40,000 at Gainesway (Antony Beck, president) near Lexington.
