For racing purposes, Stronach plans to keep no less than a 25% interest in the colts.
Frank Stronach held back five well-bred colts from his Adena Springs sale of 2-year-olds in training sale Monday in Central Florida, saying he plans to "syndicate them and offer them to people to buy into them" for racing purposes. Stronach will retain the stallion rights. The group includes a Mr. Greeley half-brother to 2004 Horse of the Year Ghostzapper, a Golden Missile half-brother to champion and 2000 Breeders' Cup Juvenile (gr. I) winner Macho Uno and to 1998 Breeders' Cup Classic (gr. I) winner Awesome Again , and an El Prado colt out of champion Perfect Sting."It's the first time we've done this," Stronach said. "These colts were what we thought had stallion potential. I think we have priced them reasonably, and I think people will think it's worth it to buy into them. We've just put the package together, with all the veterinary reports."
