Congrats to Stand at Cloverleaf in Florida

Grade II winner Congrats has been purchased for stallion duty by John Sykes' Cloverleaf Farms II near Reddick, Fla. Plans are to rest him and point him toward a summer campaign before standing him at stud in 2007.

A 6-year-old son of A.P. Indy, Congrats enjoyed his best year in 2005 when he won the San Pasqual Handicap (gr. II) and placed in four stakes. Those placings included a runner-up effort to Rock Hard Ten in the Santa Anita Handicap (gr. I) and a third in the Hollywood Gold Cup Handicap (gr. I) He also earned an invitation to that year's Emirates Airline Dubai World Cup (UAE-I) and finished fifth.

Congrats, who won the 2004 Alysheba Stakes, captured seven of 24 starts and earned $978,960 for his breeders, the Hancock family's Claiborne Farm and Adele Dilschneider.

Congrats is a full brother to young Claiborne stallion Flatter  and is out of the Mr. Prospector mare Praise. He is bred similarly to Horse of the Year Mineshaft  and successful Claiborne stallion Pulpit, all three being by A.P. Indy out of Mr. Prospector mares.
