Bill Casner and Kenny Troutt's WinStar Farm has acquired an interest in classic contender Sharp Humor. Bred by Patricia Purdy and owned by Purdedel Stable, Sharp Humor won the Swale Stakes (gr. II) and finished second to Barbaro, beaten a half-length, in the Florida Derby (gr. I), both at Gulfstream Park in his last two starts.A son of WinStar stallion Distorted Humor , Sharp Humor recently was named 2005 New York champion 2-year-old male. He captured last year's Bertram F. Bongard and Sleepy Hollow Stakes, two stakes won in 2002 by Distorted Humor's son, Funny Cide, who went on to win the Kentucky Derby (gr. I) and Preakness Stakes (gr. I) the following year.
