Baron de Vaux to Dormello II in Texas

Baron de Vaux, who ran third in the 1990 Belmont Stakes (gr. I), has been purchased by Brian Wallis and will stand at Wallis' Dormello II Stud near Decatur, Texas. The 19-year-old son of Val de l'Orne out of the stakes-winning King's Bishop mare Chasuble will stand for a fee of $500.

Baron de Vaux, who won or placed in 15 stakes and earned $884,375, has sired the earners of $1 million, including multiple stakes winner Lady's Jewel. He formerly stood in British Columbia.
