Kendel Ehrlich, wife of Maryland Gov. Robert Ehrlich, said the Preakness generates about $30 million in revenue on one day, and that the total value of equine assets in the state is $5.2 billion.
The Maryland Jockey Club as usual used the Alibi Breakfast to present some media awards. The event was held May 18 at Pimlico Race Course.Mike Brunker of NBCSports.com received the David F. Cardinal William H. Keeler gave the invocation.
