Frankel, Mott Charges Clash in Gallorette 'Cap

(from Pimlico report)
Hall of Fame trainers Bill Mott and Bobby Frankel will saddle the two top contenders in the Gallorette Handicap (gr. IIIT) for fillies and mares on the Pimlico turf course Saturday.

The $100,000 turf event at 1 1/16 miles drew a full field of 14, which includes the William Backer entry of Topiary and Art Fan.

My Typhoon and Mott kicked off what proved to be a productive 2005 season with a victory in the Hilltop Breeders' Cup on May 14 at Pimlico. The Giant's Causeway  filly owned by Live Oak Plantation also won the Virginia Oaks at Colonial Downs and the Mrs. Revere (gr. IIIT) at Churchill Downs. The Gallorette will be her first start of 2006.

Amorama has developed into a consistent graded stakes performer for Frankel. Her biggest victory was in the John C. Mabee Handicap (gr. IT) at Del Mar on July 23.
