Japanese Champion Zenno Rob Roy Will Shuttle to New Zealand

Japanese Horse of the Year Zenno Rob Roy will become the first group I winner by deceased Japanese stallion Sunday Silence to go to stud in New Zealand. He will stand at Java Thoroughbreds in Matamata.

Zenno Rob Roy, who is standing his first season in Japan, will stand in conjunction with Slade Farm under shuttle arrangements with Japan's Shadai Stallion Station. Zenno Rob Roy will hold court for $NZ15,000 (approximately $9,300), plus GST.

Produced from the Mining mare Roamin Rachel, Zenno Rob Roy scored his big win in the 2004 Japan Cup (Jpn-I) the year he was Horse of the Year and champion older male. In his sole start overseas, he ran second in the 2005 Juddmonte International Stakes (Eng-I). He retired with earnings of $10 million.
