Celluci Resigns After 14 Months as Magna VP

Paul Cellucci has resigned as Magna Entertainment Corporation's executive vice president of corporate development, the company announced June 30.

According to an MEC press release, Cellucci will continue to be involved with the company as a consultant on several important projects. Cellucci also plans to consult with other Canadian and U.S. companies.

Cellucci, formerly the governor of Massachusetts and the United States ambassador to Canada, joined MEC in May 2005. Cellucci was the Massachusetts governor from 1997-2001 and was ambassador to Canada from 2001-05. He previously served in both the Massachusetts Senate and House of Representatives.

"Paul has helped MEC move forward on a number of important initiatives and we are pleased that we will continue to benefit from his counsel as he builds his new consulting practice," said Frank Stronach, MEC chairman.
