The Claiming Crown encompasses seven races with total purse money of $600,000. Heading the action is the $150,000 Crown Jewel. There are two $100,000 contests: the Crown Emerald and the Crown Tiara; a pair of $75,000 races: the Claiming Crown Glass Slipper and the Claiming Crown Rapid Transit; and two $50,000 events: the Claiming Crown Iron Horse and the Claiming Crown Express. To be eligible to compete in the Claiming Crown, a horse must have started at least once since July 15, 2005, for a claiming price ranging from $7,500 to $35,000. Ken Rudulph and Matt Carothers will be at Canterbury for TVG.

The Summit of Speed is part of the TVG Sprint Division, leading to the $2 million TVG Breeders' Cup Sprint (gr. I), scheduled for Nov. 4 at Churchill Downs. Also on the schedule are the $80,000 Cassidy Stakes and the $80,000 Birdonthewire Stakes. Greg Wolf, Simon Bray, and Christina Olivares will be at Calder to provide analysis, interviews, and wagering selections.Expected to participate in the Summit of Speed are 2005 champion sprinter Lost in the Fog in the Smile Sprint, and the current leader among female sprinters, Dubai Escapade, in the Princess Rooney.
