Fishy Advice Has Answer in Caesar Rodney

Fishy Advice dictated the pace under Mario Pino and held his rivals safe through the stretch for a 3 1/4-length win in the $201,500 Caesar Rodney Stakes on a good Delaware Park turf.

It was the third straight victory for the David Donk-trained Fishy Advice, a 4-year-old son of Woodman--Lady Skywalker (Skywalker). The Kentucky-bred colt earned his biggest victory, worth $120,000, while improving his lifetime mark to 5-1-2 in 12 starts with earnings of $273,290.

The winner stopped the clock in 1:50 3/5 for 1 1/8 miles after setting soft fractions of :25 2/5, :50 2/5 and 1:14 3/5. Capitano, a 24-1 shot ridden by Stewart Elliott, nosed Foufa's Warrior and Jeremy Rose for second. Icy Atlantic, the 7-5 favorite ridden by Garrett Gomez, finished fourth.

On the lead without pressure, Fishy Advice shook off his rivals leaving the far turn and was unchallenged down the lane.

Fishy Advice won a Belmont Park optional claiming allowance race at 1 1/16 miles in his last start May 24. Charles K. Marquis, John T. Behrendt, William Bloom, and Brian Cornell own the winner, who was bred in Kentucky by Alberta Davies.

The fourth choice in the field of 10, Fishy Advice paid $15.80, $9.80, and $5.20. Capitano returned $22 and $8.80. Foufa's Warrior was $4.40 to show.
