Fasig-Tipton has catalogued 439 yearlings for its Texas summer yearling sale at Lone Star Park Aug. 28-29.
"Pinhookers did exceptionally well with their purchases from here last year, and our graduates are doing well at the races," said Tim Boyce, Fasig-Tipton Texas director of sales. "I am looking forward to a lively market."
In addition to a broad selection of leading national sires, the stronger regional programs in the southwest have provided some very attractive yearlings. Louisiana-breds are in almost equal numbers this year as the Texas-breds, and there are a significant number of yearlings from Oklahoma and New Mexico.
"I am pleased with the proven sire power in the catalogue, as well as yearlings from first and second-crop sires," Boyce said. "Many of the stallions whose yearlings proved very popular in our opening yearling sale in Kentucky in July are featured in our Texas catalogue."
Catalogues are now available from all Fasig-Tipton offices, as well as online.
