Conley Joins HorseRacing TV

Edited press release

Horse racing television personality Carolyn Conley has recently joined HorseRacing TV to serve as a feature reporter, producer, and host for the network.

Conley's new role will include working on documentaries and special projects, as well as contributing to established shows.

"I had the privilege of working with Carolyn when she was an integral part of Santa Anita Park's production team, and we are very pleased that she is returning to join us at HRTV," said Amy Zimmerman, executive producer for the network. "While we understand that wagering is the oil that runs the machine, racing is about so much more than the gambling aspect. It is really about the individuals involved--both human and equine. Carolyn has terrific storytelling abilities, and she will bring racing's heart and soul to our viewers."

Conley returns to the world of Thoroughbred racing following a two-year stay in Fort Collins, Colo., where she studied equine science and theatre at Colorado State University.

"It is a privilege to return to Santa Anita Park, a place I am especially fond of," said Conley. "As a part of HRTV, I look forward to once again presenting the facts, and the essence of what makes Thoroughbred racing an intriguing and historic sport."

Conley brings years of experience to HRTV's production department. She was a member of Santa Anita Park's Eclipse Award-winning team for "The Best of Santa Anita," and served as an on-air personality and writer/producer for a variety of shows, including "Inside Santa Anita," "Santa Anita Today," and "Santa Anita Live."

After entering the horse industry as a groom at Playfair Racetrack in Spokane, Wash., Conley later exercised horses in Southern California for a number of trainers, including Charlie Whittingham, Bill Spawr, D. Wayne Lukas, and Richard Mandella.
