The Canadian Thoroughbred Horse Society (Ontario Division) has partnered with Streamlogics, a provider of web-casting solutions, to off a live webcast of its Canadian-bred yearling sale.
"We're taking advantage of the interactive environment to allow people the opportunity to view our yearling sale on our website should they be unable to attend," says Julie Coulter, general manager of the CTHS (Ontario Division). "This will also allow us the opportunity to showcase our Canadian-breds to viewers from around the world."
The live webcast will broadcast the select yearling sale on Sept. 5 starting at 3 p.m. (EDT) and the preferred yearling sale on Sept. 9 at 2 p.m. from the Woodbine Racetrack Sales Pavilion. The webcast will include a customized web interface that displays the horse currently in the auction ring along with the hip number and bidding amount listed in both Canadian and U.S. funds. It will be offered in both live video and audio format in order to reach viewers regardless of their bandwidth speed.
Viewers may access the webcast through the CTHS website at http://www.cthsont.com on the above-noted dates. It may also be accessed at http://events.streamlogics.net/cths/sep05-06/index.asp for the Selected session and http://events.streamlogics.net/cths/sep09-06/index.asp for the Preferred session. Please note there will be between a 15 to 45 second delay when viewing the live webcast. For phone-in bids, please call the CTHS at (416) 675-3602.
