Cherokee's Boy to Stand at Maryland Stallion Station

Cherokee's Boy, a graded stakes winner and millionaire who has won or placed in 28 stakes, will enter stud at Maryland Stallion Station near Glyndon, Md., following the completion of his racing career this year.

Maryland's Horse of the Year in 2005 and a multiple stakes winner all five years he has raced, 6-year-old Cherokee's Boy has captured 14 stakes, including the Salvator Mile Handicap (gr. III). He has won 19 of 47 races and earned $1,170,446 racing as a homebred for Z W P Stables. He is trained by Gary Capuano.

A son of Citidancer, Cherokee's Boy is one of only two foals from his stakes-winning dam, Cherokee Wonder (by Cherokee Colony), who also is the dam of stakes-placed Runnin Wonder.

His fee will be $2,500.
