Consigned by agent Tara Stables, the chestnut mare, a half sister to stakes winner Captain Countdown, is out of stakes winner Bearly Cooking, by Really Cooking.For the final session, 128 horses grossed $621,600 compared with 164 horses bringing a total of $746,300 at the corresponding session last year. The average price was $4,856, compared with $4,551 in 2005, while the median price was $2,500, identical to last year's figure. The buyback rate was 32.3%%; it was 22.2% a year ago.For the two open sessions, 236 horses sold for $1,108,800, compared with 313 bringing $1,443,100 in 2005. Eighteen yearlings brought a total of $54,200, compared with 31 yearlings selling for a total of $97,300 in 2005. The average price was $3,011 compared with $3,139 a year ago. The median price was $2,100; it was $1,500 last year. For the three Consignor Preferred sessions, 592 horses sold for a total of $12,765,900, compared with 559 horses bringing $12,458,500 last year. The average was $21,564 compared with $22,287 a year ago, while the median price was $12,000 compared with last year's $14,000. The buyback percentage was 35%; it was 27.8% in 2005.
