Walmac Raises Successful Appeal, Songandaprayer

Successful Appeal  and Songandaprayer, two stallions moved to Johnny Jones III and Bobby Trussell's Walmac Farm near Lexington in recent years from Florida, will have their fees raised for 2007.

Successful Appeal , by Valid Appeal--Successful Dancer, by Fortunate Prospect, will stand for $40,000, and Songandaprayer, by Unbridled's Song out of Alizea, by Premiership, will have a $45,000 fee.

With three crops of racing age, 10-year-old Successful Appeal  was represented by eight stakes winners in his first crop, but his crop of 2003 foals has not yielded any stakes winners thus far. This year, however, he has out three juvenile stakes winners including grade I winner Appealing Zophie.

Successful Appeal  stood for $25,000 in 2005 and 2006.

Songandaprayer was the fourth leading freshman sire last year by progeny earnings when his 18 winners bankrolled $1,056,247. The group included three stakes winners.

The 8-year-old stallions has been represented now by five stakes winners, his two new stakes horses this year being graded stakes winners Songster and Praying for Cash.
Songandaprayer stood for $10,000 in 2005 and $35,000 this year.

New stallions Bandini will stand for $17,500, and Thunderello will move from New York to stand for $5,000.

Fees for the other Walmac stallions will remain unchanged: Cactus Ridge ($6,500), Eavesdropper ($7,500), Is It True ($5,000), Tenpins ($6,500), and Zavata ($7,500) in Kentucky; and Full Mandate ($5,000), Omega Code ($7,500), and Roar of the Tiger ($6,000) at Hartley/De Renzo/Walmac South in Florida.
