Grade II Winner A. P. Warrior to Stonewall

A. P. Warrior, a graded stakes-winning son of A.P. Indy, has been purchased by Audrey Haisfield's Stonewall Farm for stallion duty at the Versailles, Ky., farm.

A grade II winner on both dirt and turf, A. P. Warrior retired with four wins from 13 races and earnings of $548,595 for owner Stan Fulton. Fulton bought A. P. Warrior for $1.3 million in the name of Fleetwood/NW Management at the 2004 Keeneland September yearling sale from Eaton Sales, agent.

A. P. Warrior, a winner at Hollywood Park and Oak Tree as a 2-year-old, captured the San Felipe Stakes (gr. II) from Point Determined and Bob and John in the spring and took the La Jolla Handicap (gr. IIT) in the summer. He placed in five graded stakes, including this year's Santa Anita Derby (gr. I) and the 2005 Norfolk Stakes (gr. II). In what was his final start, he was third in the Oct. 14 Oak Tree Derby (gr. IIT).

A. P Warrior is the first foal from English and Irish champion Warrior Queen (by Quiet American). A fee will be announced later.
