Robyn Dancer to Shady Lane in Louisiana

Robyn Dancer, whose daughter, No Sleep, won the Oct. 20 Violet Stakes at Meadowlands, has been purchased by Tommy Metcalf for stallion duty at Shady Lane Farm near Opelousas, La. Metcalf, who owns the farm with Kim Rudis, will stand the 19-year-old son of Crafty Prospector for $2,500.

Robyn Dancer has sired 20 stakes winners, 16 of which are $200,000-plus earners, including graded winners Dancing Guy, King Robyn, and Lord Robyn. His runners have earned $1.9 million this year and $24.1 million in their careers. No Sleep, a multiple stakes winner, is one of three of Robyn Dancer's added-money winners this year.

Robyn Dancer, who is out of the Sword Dancer mare Double Dancer, set a world record for 7 1/2 furlongs at Hollywood Park and was a graded stakes winner. He ran third in the 1991 Breeders' Cup Sprint (gr. I).
