Lil's Lad to Key Ranch in Texas

Grade II winner Lil's Lad has been relocated to Joe and Sharon Kerby's Key Ranch near Salado, Texas. The 11-year-old son of Pine Bluff will stand for a fee of $2,000.

Lil's Lad has sired 13 runners that have won or placed in stakes, including 2006 stakes winner Sampson's Son and multiple stakes winner Raving Rocket. His runners have earned $3.3 million.

As a 3-year-old in 1998, Lil's Lad won the Fountain of Youth Stakes (gr. II) over Coronado's Quest and finished first in the Florida Derby (gr. I), but was disqualified for interference and placed second. He also ran second in that year's Toyota Blue Grass Stakes (gr. II).

Lil's Lad, who is out of the Vanlandingham mare Totemic, previously stood at Xanthus Farms in Pennsylvania.
