Elusive City Filly Leads Way at Goffs Ireland Sale

An Elusive City filly, consigned by Miltown Park Stud, sold for 55,000 euros to top Tuesday's session of the Goffs Ireland November foal sale. Produced from the winning Mujadil mare Fabuco, she was bought by Peter Doyle Bloodstock.

The only Invincible Spirit foal to go through the ring on day two attracted plenty of interest and was knocked down to Pier House Stud for 48,000 euros The filly is a half sister to two winners and was sold by Myles Sweeney.

Aggregate turnover for the day was 2,116,100 euros, with an average price of 12,748 euros. The median increased 38%, from 8,000 euros last year to 11,000 euros.

On Monday, a colt from the first crop of Needwood Blade topped the session. Produced from Singitta, he was purchased by Prosperous Stud for 31,000 euros. The foal was consigned by Nafferty Stud.

Total turnover for the day reached 958,700 euros, while a median of 6,000 euros and an average of 8,560 euros were recorded.

The foal sale continues through Friday. The breeding stock section of the sale will be held on Saturday and Sunday.
