Grade II Winner The Daddy to Martin Stables

The Daddy, a grade II winner who captured three of four lifetime starts, will stand the 2007 season at Eddie Martin's Martin Stables South near Reddick, Fla.

After breaking his maiden in 1:09.01 at Hollywood Park in his first career start, The Daddy romped in a seven-furlong allowance by 12 lengths in 1:22.36 at Saratoga.

In his third start, he finished fourth behind winner Lost in the Fog in the King's Bishop Stakes (gr. I) at Saratoga. The Daddy then won the $750,000 Super Derby (gr. II) at 1 1/4 miles.

By Valid Expectations out of the stakes-placed With Approval mare With a Princess, The Daddy is a half-brother to 2006 grade II winner With a City. He was bred in New York by William S. Farish Jr. and Gaillardia.

The Daddy will stand for $5,000 live foal.
