Hill 'n' Dale Farm owner John Sikura said Wednesday Eclipse Award finalist and grade I winner Point Ashley will be bred to leading sire Storm Cat.
Hill 'n' Dale purchased the 3-year-old filly for $1.8 million at the 2007 Keeneland January horses of all ages sale.
Hill 'n' Dale consigned the filly on behalf of Ahmed Zayat's Zayat Racing Stable.
"Point Ashley is already an accomplished grade I winner by Horse of the Year Point Given, which is why we went to $1.8 million to purchase her," said John G. Sikura, owner of Hill 'n' Dale Farm.
"It was uncertain if she could make the Kentucky Oaks (gr. I) with the time off that she had, so we felt it prudent to breed her this year."
Storm Cat stands at the Young family's Overbrook Farm. His 2007 fee is $500,000.
