First Mares in Foal to Artie Schiller, Bellamy Road, Borrego

The first mares have been confirmed in foal to first-year stallions Artie Schiller, Bellamy Road, and Borrego.

Two mares -- Missmaybe and Tropic Rhythm – have been confirmed in foal to Artie Schiller, the 2005 NetJets Breeders’ Cup Mile (gr. IT) winner. Both mares are owned by William Entenmann, who campaigned Artie Schiller in the name of his Timber Bay Farm.

Bellamy Road, winner of the 2005 Wood Memorial Stakes (gr. I), is also represented by his first in-foal mare. The mare, Valor Lady, is owned by Liberation Farm.

Both Artie Schiller and Bellamy Road entered stud this year at Hurricane Hall near Lexington, Ky.

The first mare bred to multiple grade I winner Borrego has been checked in foal. The mare, Song of Victoria, is owned by Rawleigh Rails and Dennis Foster, who in partnership campaigned winner Borrego, and Philip Houchens.

Borrego, winner of the Pacific Classic (gr. I) and Jockey Club Gold Cup (gr. I) in 2005, stands at Wintergreen Farm near Midway, Ky.
