(Edited press release)
Fasig-Tipton has cataloged 355 horses for its 2007 Texas Two-Year-Olds in training sale at Lone Star Park, in Grand Prairie, on April 3. The sale will be held in a continuous, single session beginning at 10 a.m. The under-tack show, over the main track at Lone Star, will be held on Sunday, April 1, from 10 a.m.
The catalog has grown nearly 13% from last year, much of which is growth from the very active breeding and racing program in neighboring Louisiana. There are several new consignors to the Texas sale from Louisiana as well as new consignments from Oklahoma and New Mexico.
This year’s catalog cover features multiple stakes winners which graduated from last year’s Texas sale. They were sold by Asmussen Horse Center, Benchmark Training Center, Cashmark Farm and Twin Oaks Training Center, all of whom are return consignors this year.
“We have had a ton of success with our sales graduates all over the Southwest, and I’m pleased for all the consignors and buyers featured on this year’s cover,” said FT Texas director of sales Tim Boyce. “The quality of horses we’ve sold is reflected in the way they are winning all through this region and there’s going to be great value for buyers once again in 2007.”
