Zabeel's Fee to Stay the Same

Leading New Zealand sire Zabeel will have his stud fee remain at $NZ100,000 (approximately $74,000 in U.S. funds) plus GTS in 2007, with his book restricted to a maximum of 110 mares.

Foaled in 1986 and standing at Cambridge Stud, Zabeel recorded his 37th group I success when Gallic won the recent Schweppes Sydney Cup at Randwick, taking the veteran stallion to third position on the Australian general sires' premiership.

Zabeel (Sir Tristram--Lady Giselle, by Nureyev) is represented by three other group I winners this season--Vengeance Of Rain (Nakheel Dubai Sheema Classic), Efficient (AAMI Victoria Derby) and Fiumicino (David Jones AJC Australian Derby).

Zabeel has sired 111 individual stakes winners and his progeny earnings in Australasia alone are close to $NZ100 million.
