TrackNet, AmericaTAB in Content Deal

Edited press release

TrackNet Media Group said April 18 it has reached an agreement with AmericaTAB to supply horse racing content, including live video-streaming of races, to the AmericaTAB family of account wagering companies.

The agreement allows customers of AmericaTAB-affiliated telephone and online wagering platforms to watch and wager on this year’s Kentucky Derby Presented by Yum! Brands (gr. I) and Preakness Stakes (gr. I), as well as races from Churchill Downs, Santa Anita Park, Gulfstream Park, Fair Grounds, Pimlico Race Course, Lone Star Park, Golden Gate Fields, Laurel Park, and other racetracks offered through TrackNet Media.

AmericaTAB, an Ohio-based company with a wagering hub in Oregon, is owned by a consortium of racetracks and wagering services that have their own online wagering sites.

“We are pleased to add the AmericaTAB stable of account-wagering providers to the list of outlets able to accept wagers on our popular horse-racing content, including the first two legs of horse racing’s prestigious Triple Crown,” said Scott Daruty, chief executive officer of TrackNet Media. “One of TrackNet Media’s primary objectives is to facilitate the broad distribution of horse racing content through trusted and reliable distribution platforms that share TrackNet’s philosophy that non-exclusivity of wagering content is vital to the future growth of domestic account wagering.”

TrackNet Media is a joint venture of Churchill Downs Inc. and Magna Entertainment Corp., which each hold a 50% interest in the company. TrackNet Media Group sells horse racing content from its stable of racetracks to a variety of domestic and international wagering outlets, including racetracks, casinos, off-track betting facilities, and account wagering companies.

TrackNet Media also purchases content from other content producers for distribution to its member racetracks and to account wagering platforms, including MEC-owned XpressBet and, which CDI plans to launch in April.
