TVG will broadcast live from Belmont Park, including races June 8 and 9, leading up to the Belmont Stakes (gr. I) June 9. Through its exclusive partnership with the New York Racing Association (NYRA), TVG customers can wager on the $1-million Belmont Stakes, the longest and oldest race of the Triple Crown, as Preakness winner Curlin vies for a second consecutive victory.
TVG will be live at Belmont Park with Hall of Fame jockey Gary Stevens with veteran analysts Todd Schrupp, Simon Bray, and Jill Byrne. The network will kick off its Belmont Stakes weekend coverage with live racing June 8, beginning with the first post at 1 p.m. ET and ending with the last post at 5:40 p.m. ET. Also on June 8, a special edition Belmont Stakes preview show will air live from the track at 8 p.m. ET.
Belmont Day coverage is set to begin at 11 a.m. ET when TVG will televise non-stop action leading up to the Belmont Stakes. The day’s live racing coverage, which includes five graded stakes races with combined purses of $1.4 million, will be accompanied by expert analysis, up-to-the-minute reports and trackside interviews to help viewers make informed wagers. Highlights are: grade I, $400,000 Manhattan Handicap going 1-1/4 miles on the turf; grade I, $250,000 Acorn, a one-mile race for three-year-old fillies; and the grade II, $200,000 True North Handicap, a six-furlong event for sprinters.
Following the Belmont Stakes, TVG will air a live wrap-up show from 7-8 p.m. ET.
In addition to TVG’s live coverage from Belmont Park, the June 6 edition of the network’s signature series, Racing Roundtable (10 p.m. ET), will focus on the Triple Crown races, including picks and previews of the weekend ahead in horseracing.
Belmont Park will offer a guaranteed $1-million Pick Six as well as a guaranteed $1 million Pick Four June 9. In addition, TVG is offering advanced wagering the day before the Belmont Stakes on the entire racing card.
