Fasig-Tipton has cataloged 417 yearlings for its Texas summer sale at Lone Star Park on Aug. 27 -28. Approximately 75% of the yearlings to be offered are evenly split between Texas- and Louisiana-breds.
Tim Boyce, director of sales for Fasig-Tipton in Texas, is pleased with the sire power in in the catalog.
“Valid Expectations is obviously a hot item in the Southwest, both in the sales ring and on the racetrack, and there are no less than 27 of his offspring in the catalog. But we also have cataloged many yearlings by stallions with strong national appeal," Boyce said.
“First-crop sires such as Chapel Royal, Even the Score , Peace Rules, and Tapit were very popular at (Fasig-Tipton's) Kentucky summer sale. We also have yearlings by all three of the current leading freshman aires – Posse, Harlan's Holiday, and Van Nistelrooy.”
Catalogues will be available for the Texas sale from all Fasig-Tipton offices July 30.
