As the Aug. 27 first session of the Fasig-Tipton Texas summer yearling sale neared its mid-point, top price of $70,000 had been paid by Leprechaun Racing for a Trust N Luckfilly.

Bred in Kentucky by her consignor, 4M Ranch, agent, the filly was produced from the winning Greinton mare Infinitely Better and is a half-sister to stakes winner Lovewithoutend. All Knowing, the unraced 2-year-old by Holy Bullout of Infinitely Better, was purchased by Gary Broad for $260,000 earlier this year at the Barretts Equine May sale.

Also during the early part of the session, a yearling half-brother to Saratoga Special (gr. II) winner Kodiak Kowboy was bought back for $29,000. The colt by Golden Missilewas consigned by agent Brad Dawkins.

The sale, which consists mainly of yearlings bred in Texas and Louisiana but includes some from Kentucky, Oklahoma, and other states, continues through Tuesday, Aug. 28.
