Van Nistelrooy, by Storm Cat, is the third-ranked freshman sire by progeny earnings (nearly $1.2 million) and leads the group by stakes winners, with six. His fee will rise from $7,500 to $25,000.

The 3-year-old son of Johannesburg retired with five wins from nine races and earnings of $1,334,300. He won this year's Florida Derby (gr. I) and Fountain of Youth Stakes (gr. I), and last year captured the Champagne (gr. I) and Sanford (gr. II) Stakes.
