Tasteyville, who easily won the Sport Page Handicap (gr. III) Oct. 27 at Aqueduct, will not run in the Hill ‘n’ Dale Cigar Mile Handicap (gr. I) at the New York oval on Nov. 24 because of a minor leg injury.

“We missed a critical breeze with him,” Pat Kelly, Tasteyville’s trainer, said Nov. 21. “It was bad timing. It is a little filling and we are working on it. We are sorry to miss the race, but you can’t go into a race like the Cigar Mile having missed a work.”

Tasteyville, a 4-year-old gelded son of With Approval, won Aqueduct’s Sport Page by 9 ¼ lengths after leading from start to finish in the slop. In his prior start, Tasteyville finished second to Any Given Saturday in the Brooklyn Handicap (gr. II) at Belmont Park  on Sept. 22.

With Tasteyville on the sidelines, Kelly said: “We are going with 1A, Naughty New Yorker.” Both Tasteyville and Naughty New Yorker are owned by Fox Ridge Farm.

Naughty New Yorker, a New York-bred, won two restricted stakes this year: the Saratoga Sunrise and General D. MacArthur Handicap.

Midnight Lute, winner of the TVG Breeders’ Cup Sprint (gr. I) at Monmouth Park on Oct. 27, is expected to head a small field in the $300,000 Cigar Mile, the final grade I stakes of the year in New York.
