Graded stakes winner Primary Suspect will stand at McDowell Farm

Graded stakes winner Primary Suspect has been retired from racing and will stand at Bill McDowell's McDowell Farm near Sparkman, Ark. Owned by the farm, the 6-year-old son of Hennessy will stand for $1,500.

Primary Suspect was at his best sprinting. He won at Monmouth Park first time out by 10 3/4 lengths at six furlongs in 1:09.45 and scored at Aqueduct in 1:08.81 several races later. In winning the Toboggan Handicap (gr. III) at Aqueduct, he ran the six furlongs in 1:09.47.

Primary Suspect won or placed in 10 of 18 races and earned $241,283. He is out of the stakes-winning Affirmed mare Deb's Honor, who is a half-sister to graded winner Wild Deputy.
