Millennium Rewards Adds Stallion

Louisiana-based Easyfromthegitgo added to Millennium Farms' Millennium Rewards

The Louisiana-based stallion Easyfromthegitgowill be added to Millennium Farms’ fledgling Millennium Rewards Program, it was announced Feb. 22.

Easyfromthegitgo is owned by Ro Parra’s Millennium Stallions and stands at Robert McDowell's 519 Thoroughbreds in Arcadia, La. for a stud fee of $3,500.

“We are pleased to welcome Easyfromthegitgo to our Rewards program,” Parra said. “This gives breeders in Louisiana an opportunity to participate in the program, thus earning points that can ultimately be redeemed to breed to a Millennium stallion in three states.”

Easyfromthegitgo is a 9-year-old son of Dehereand a multiple-stakes winner whose earnings total $695,056. As a 3-year-old he won the Iowa Derby and Lecomte Stakes, defeating Kentucky Derby (gr. I) winner War Emblem in the latter. His first runners are three-year-olds of 2008. Easyfromthegitgo is from the family of Dixieland Band and Cozzene.

"It is great news for Louisiana breeders that Easyfromthegitgo has been added to the Millennium Rewards Program," McDowell said. "The program will reward our breeders for sending mares to Easyfromthegitgo while providing them access to Millennium's Kentucky stallions for less out-of-pocket costs."

The Millennium Rewards Program awards points to breeders for using Millennium Farms stallions and for the resulting offspring’s successes in the sales ring and on the track. Easyfromthegitgo joins Kentucky-based stallions Even the Score , Scrimshaw, Shaniko, Will He Shine, Woke Up Dreaminand Littleexpectations along with the New York-based Millennium Wind in the Millennium Rewards Program.
