Kentucky EHC to Host Charity Horse Show

Charity show will help state clearinghouse that finds homes for unwanted horses.

(Edited press release)

NTRA Advantage and John Deere will sponsor the first annual all breed charity horse show to benefit the Kentucky Equine Humane Center. The show will be held March 29 at Shelbyville Fairgrounds near Shelbyville, Ky.

"We are overwhelmed by the support from every facet of the horse industry and how they have committed not just to the show, but to the center, " said show chair Jennifer Tosch. "We chose the Shelbyville location rather than a Central Kentucky spot to raise awareness for the center and our mission. We are grateful to the title sponsors — NTRA Advantage and John Deere — for their support."

The Kentucky Equine Humane Center is a clearninghouse that finds homes for horses that cannot be sold, given away, or used for breeding. Anyone wishing to adopt a horse is screened by the center.

Hall of Fame jockey Chris McCarron will be a celebrity judge. Classes include halter, egg and spoon, Arabian costume, western pleasure, adopted horse, hunter, jumper, dressage, and combined tests. Riders may enter in advance or the day of the show.
