Tomahawk Sires First Winner

Tomahawk, a champion son of Seattle Slew, sires first winner.

Irish champion Tomahawk sired his first winner when Royal Minikin won May 31 at Woodbine in Canada in her initial start. Bred in Ontario by Terdik Farms, Royal Minikin won the 4 1/2-furlong race in :53.58 for John S. Terdik.

Royal Minikin is the second winner and third starter from three foals of racing age from the stakes-placed Regal Classic mare Regalclass.

A champion at 2, Tomahawk (Seattle Slew—Statuette, by Pancho Villa) stands at Michael Byrne’s Park Stud near Orangeville, Ontario. His fee is $8,500 in Canadian funds.
