Burning Roma's First Winner

Grade I winner Burning Roma was represented by his first winner when Jitter in Rome won by 11 1/2 lengths Aug. 22 at Mountaineer Park. The filly ran the six furlongs in 1:13.57 to win for owner/trainer Heather A. Marino.

Bred in Florida by Harold L. Queen, Jitter in Rome is the second winner from two foals of racing age for the Tactical Advantage mare Twitch and Jitter.

Winner of the 2000 Futurity Stakes (gr. I), Burning Roma (Rubiano--While Rome Burns, by Overskate) stands at Peter Van Rosbeck’s Hidden Point Farm near Ocala, Fla. His 2008 fee was $7,500.
