Awesome Again and Ghostzapper will stand in 2009 for $150,000, the same stud fee they each commanded this year. The stallions stand at Frank Stronach’s Adena Springs near Paris, Ky., which announced its 2009 fees Oct. 23.
Macho Uno ’s fee is rising from $20,000 to $30,000.
Also at the Kentucky farm, El Prado will stand again for $75,000, Congaree ’s fee remains unchanged at $15,000, and Silent Name will again have a fee of $7,500.
North Light ($15,000), Touch Gold ($15,000) and Giacomo ($10,000) will all stand for lower fees in 2009 than they did in 2008. North Light stood this year for $25,000, Touch Gold for $20,000, and Giacomo for $12,500.
At Adena Springs South near Williston, Fla., the fees for Milwaukee Brew ($7,500), Olmodavor ($5,000), Wilko ($10,000), and Indy King ($2,000) remain the same.
Showing Up, the most recent addition to the Adena Springs South stallion roster, will stand his initial year for $7,500.
Fees for the remaining stallions standing at Adena Springs South have all been reduced: Aristocrat, $3,500 from $5,000; Alphabet Soup, $7,500 from $10,000; Greatness, $3,000 from $5,000; Red Bullet, $7,500 from $10,000; and Sligo Bay, $5,000 from $7,500.
