Adena Springs Brings Back 2yo Sale

Edited Adena Springs press release

Frank Stronach’s Adena Springs Farm will conduct a sale of 2-year-olds in training in March of 2009. Adena Springs’ representatives had previously announced a decision to discontinue the auction earlier this year.

According to Adena Springs South manager Mark Roberts, customers, in part, influenced the decision to continue with the sale.

“If you examine the history of our sale over the last seven years, you’ll see that year in and year out we had many repeat buyers in attendance,” he said. “When we announced our intention to discontinue the sale, a number of our customers expressed genuine disappointment with our decision.  All things considered, including the number of 2-year-olds that we will have in training in 2009, we thought it made not only good business sense, but also provided us with a chance to respond to the needs of our valued clientele. Our recent sale graduates include Fatal Bullet, Ginger Brew, and the undefeated 2-year-old stakes winner High Mist, so a sale in 2009 provides us with an opportunity to add to our growing roster of success stories.”

The Ocala Breeders Sales Co. will conduct the 8th annual Adena Springs juvenile auction March 16 in Central Florida. The sale will take place at the Adena Springs South training center and will be preceded by an under tack show.
