James Yaegel's Freds My Friend made her Beulah Park debut a victorious one with a convincing victory in the $50,000 Glacial Princess Stakes Nov. 8.

Five 2-year-old accredited Ohio-bred fillies set sail as Bedazzleme dashed to the lead with Gathering Dreams and Freds My Friend chasing from second and third. Moving down the backstretch Freds My Friend engaged the leaders and pushed past turning for home.

Drawing away to a five-length score, Freds My Friend ran the one mile over the muddy track in 1:41 4/5.

Ridden by Luis Gonzalez for trainer Thomas Yaegel, Freds My Friend paid $11.20 and $4.40. There was no show wagering. Gathering Dreams hung in gamely for second and returned $2.10. Bedazzleme finished third.

Joe L. Weir bred Freds My Friend, who is by Gold Market—Ou Special, by Hawkin's Special.
